Centennial Olympic Park's 4th of July Celebration offers a full day of fun and entertainment for the entire family including Atlanta's best fireworks display, the AirTran Airways Fireworks Spectacular.
The family-fun begins early with children's activities from noon - 5 p.m. including arts and crafts, face painting, performances, inflatables, stilt walkers and live broadcasts from Q100 personalities Brittany, Johnny O and Adam Bomb.
The free musical entertainment starts at 5 p.m. on the Great Lawn with the popular, local band Stokeswood. Following is a performance from the Infinity Show Band, one of the Southeast's premier entertainment bands, before the headliner, American Rock Band Vertical Horizon. The finale of the evening is the AirTran Airways Fireworks Spectacular, a truly amazing show framed by the Downtown skyline and synchronized to a special selection of patriotic music. The award-winning display is televised on 11Alive WXIA-TV and the soundtrack is simulcast on Q100.
