Chickamauga & Chattanooga National ParkChickamauga & Chattanooga National Park Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) ©2006 This historical civil war memorial park is located about 2 hours north of Atlanta and is a must see for all interested in civil war battles. On these fields and hills, Union and Confederate armies clashed during the fall of 1863 in some of the hardest fighting of the Civil War. The prize was Chattanooga, key rail center and gateway to the heart of the Confederacy. It is the largest civil war national military park upon which most other historical parks are based. It is located in Chickamauga, Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee - the border area of these two states. Top of PageDo you know of a Place that should be included here?
